In June 2019 a state-of-the-art sawmill blade sourced from the United States and costing in excess of £5,000 was installed in the sawmill. This means that the sawmill can be used in-house once more. Friends of Temple Newsam Park funded the whole purchase with the installation cost being borne by the Estate
It is truly a magnificent blade with each cog being able to be replaced individually when required.
