Temple Newsam Park is the perfect spot for a walk, with miles of pathways through beautiful landscaping and woodlands.
On the 1st and 3rd Tuesday each month, the Friends of Temple Newsam Park Walking Group meets in the Stable Courtyard at 1:30pm for a short walk around the estate. Every week is a different route, taking in the best of what the park has to offer.

The walks are suitable for all abilities and move at the speed of the slowest walker, follow the footpaths and usually last for around three miles. Everyone is welcome to join (you don’t have to be a Friend)….just pop on your sensible shoes and turn up!

Explore the park on your own

Temple Newsam has miles of pathways to explore, ranging from paved avenues to dirt tracks, through rolling landscapes to leafy woods. Just remember to always respect the park and its wildlife, leave it as you found it, and be safe. And, if you are less mobile, you can use one of the electric all-terrain scooters to explore.
